"Beyond Borders"
Message from our Advisor
We live in a world of rapid changes. Changes in political regimes, economic changes, humanitarian crises. At this point, our world goes through an everyday constant change. Equality in opportunities concerning education and wellbeing are limited.
Through Model United Nations conferences, students have ample opportunities to debate about global issues and bring us a step closer to finding solutions on problems that concern all nations. Meeting people from all cultural background is key to understanding and respecting individual differences and thinking of how our context shapes who we are as people. Students have a great chance to critically think about global issues and develop further their research, planning, public speaking and debating skills.
St Catherine's Model United Nations conference is a two day conference which aims to bring students of all background together, unite them and allow them to embark on a journey to explore solutions concerning humanitarian, security, racial, educational, political and environmental issues. Let's try to make a world a better place for everyone.

Message from our Secretary General
Dear delegates, advisors and distinguished guests,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 5th St.Catherine’s Model United Nations Conference which is set to take place in February of 2026! This year we come together under the compelling theme of “Beyond Borders” – a core proponent of global peace.
As we gather this coming February, we are reminded that borders are not always literal - but are obstacles that require cooperation and true passion to be overcome. Going beyond borders is not just about crossing physical barriers, but it is about coming together and achieving the unimaginable, transcending global confines and coming up with innovative solutions to address the growing thresholds that we are faced with. In a rapidly changing environment, facing restrictions is a dominant reality which can manifest in different forms: limits to knowledge, caps on solutions and restraints in our ability to tackle nearly irreversible problems; which is why it is time for us to go beyond. From discussing proactive measures, to tackling already prominent problems, the need to collaborate is pivotal to achieving global stability. Every debate, resolution and individual participation is a step towards a more inclusive, just and secure world for all of us.
At St. Catherine's MUN, we strive to foster this critical change, and we are confident that within this environment a new generation of young leaders and catalysts of progress can be developed and inspired. This is why we believe that your participation and skilful resolutions to today’s challenges are essential to pursue the global need to go beyond borders. Your enthusiasm, dedication and passion are at the heart of this contribution, a reminder that each and every one of your voice’s are vital to this cooperation, regardless of the scale of your contribution. It is time for us to embrace a future where going beyond borders is not just a concept, but a plausible reality.
I would like to encourage all of you to embrace your potential, and strive to achieve the unachievable; navigating the complexities of international diplomacy, cooperating on issues of global significance and using this opportunity to grow, not only as people, but as leaders of the future. The experiences gained throughout this conference, both during debates and by building relationships, will allow you to continue to grow within the MUN community but also as global citizens.
I look forward to seeing the impactful collaborations and innovative solutions that will result from this conference. Let this be an experience where you grow and succeed in going beyond: beyond borders but also beyond your individual constraints. I wish you all a memorable and transformative endeavor to help build a better and united world.
Ileana Geroulanou,
Secretary General
