Message from our Advisor

We live in a world of rapid changes. Changes in political regimes, economic changes, humanitarian crises. At this point, our world goes through an everyday constant change. Equality in opportunities concerning education and wellbeing are limited.

Through Model United Nations conferences, students have ample opportunities to debate about global issues and bring us a step closer to finding solutions on problems that concern all nations. Meeting people from all cultural background is key to understanding and respecting individual differences and thinking of how our context shapes who we are as people. Students have a great chance to critically think about global issues and develop further their research, planning, public speaking and debating skills.

St Catherine's Model United Nations conference is a two day conference which aims to bring students of all background together, unite them and allow them to embark on a journey to explore solutions concerning humanitarian, security, racial, educational, political and environmental issues. Let's try to make a world a better place for everyone.

Message from our Secretary General

Welcome to St. Catherines MUN, distinguished delegates, honored guests, and esteemed participants! As the Secretary-General, it is my distinct privilege to inaugurate this momentous Model United Nations conference, where we gather to deliberate, negotiate, and seek solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. This year's conference marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of global cooperation and understanding, as we unite students and young leaders from diverse backgrounds and cultures to foster a spirit of diplomacy and critical thinking. Over the next few days, we will embark on a transformative journey of diplomacy and discourse, aiming to tackle complex issues with empathy, intelligence, and open minds. Together, we will strive to craft resolutions that pave the way for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

Throughout this conference, we will engage in dynamic simulations of the United Nations committees, empowering each of you to represent your assigned countries with unwavering dedication and authenticity. Our agenda encompasses a wide range of topics, spanning from environmental sustainability and human rights to economic development and international security. I encourage you all to channel your passion, creativity, and knowledge into crafting innovative proposals that can effect tangible change. Be ready to challenge your perspectives, listen attentively to your fellow delegates' viewpoints, and build fruitful alliances to bridge the gaps between nations. The spirit of collaboration and constructive dialogue shall guide us as we strive for consensus in our resolutions, and I am confident that our collective efforts will set a strong example for diplomacy in action.

As we embark on this extraordinary journey of learning and growth, let us remember that the power of this conference lies not merely in the resolutions we draft, but in the connections we forge and the ideas we share. Embrace the opportunity to build lifelong friendships, transcend boundaries, and embody the principles of the United Nations - peace, tolerance, and cooperation. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the organizers, sponsors, and advisors who have made this event possible. Together, let us embark on an inspiring, fruitful, and unforgettable conference as we shape a brighter future for generations to come.
